Twenty Something

Written By: Erika Hambrick

Elizabeth King and her closest friends do their best to figure out their lives in this wild and confusing climate of New York City in the 20s decade. After all, there’s no one teaching them how to survive being a young adult and nobody wants to waste all their time trying to figure it out. Being a college student, easy, being a black woman in America trying not to let her family down, hard. All she wants is to enjoy the 20s that every adult she knows has claimed is the “best time of your life”. Rather it is day drinking with her best friends or falling in love in between, she wants to hold onto what youth she has left. All the hard work and fun, but none of the responsibility. It seems as though she is still waiting for the fun part to begin.
